I like your approach of adding more healthy fruits and vegetables, not subtracting the foods we like. I already make smoothies with frozen fruit and yogurt. I'm going to try your idea of adding some kale. The only kale I ever had that I liked came fresh out of a friend's garden, so if the kale flavor seems too strong in the smoothie, I'll try fresh spinach leaves, which I do like. The nice thing about smoothies is that there are so many ways to use new fruits and vegetables in them.
