thank you for your wisdom and support to all of us newcomers i know i must sound like such a wimp but his is all so new and totally unexpected. i will be having an expander put in at the time of my surgery. how can we decect if cancer has spread out of the node and to other parts of the body. i had a lymph node tested by needle biopsy and it was negative but it was no the sentinnel node. also is it possible for cancer to spread w/o it going to the lymph nodes first. i am thankful that my situation so far does not show any clinical grave signs and i will fight this illness i accept the reality but do not give it any power over me i will not be taken down by this and day by day i am learning more about my chances of living a long life. thank you i wll keep you posted i will have a mas on 7-11-08 i have not told my kids all the facts about the surgery but they do know i will have the cancer removed. grade 1 score 3/9 er/pos do not know about the pr and her2 neg no staging yet you can email me at labradofamily@comcast.net
