Mammograms are not fun, but I agree, they can save your life.  I don't know how long my cancer would have grown before I noticed a lump.  Thank God the radiologist who read my mammogram sent me for a biopsy.  My cancer was found very early with no lymph node involvement because of him, and my surgeon who suggested that since I had a cancer diagnosis in the right breast, I could have a bi-lateral mastectomy.  The left breast was also cancerous.  No lump there either, and nothing on the mammogram.  I consider myself very lucky to have had the medical professionals that I did!  If you've been putting it off, make your appointment now!
