I think I know how to reduce the risk of cancer by about one half. In my new book "Great Sleep! Reduced Cancer!" (Amazon) I review the evidence that avoiding blue light for a couple of hours before bedtime will cut the risk by extending melatonin flow. My problem is people in the cancer community son't seem to care about prevention.

Hi Richard: I disagree that people in the cancer community don't care about prevention. If you mean those of us with cancer - we certainly don't want anyone else going through what we have! If by blue light you mean fluorescent light, then there is evidence that those who get too much flurorescent light are more prone to breast cancer. In addition, those who experience too much light while they're trying to sleep are more prone to breast cancer. So your idea seems to have some merit - I'm sure your book gives all of the results of your studies and clinical trials. Good luck with it - PJH
