PJ, my oncologist wanted me to stay away from soy and other estrogen-rich supplements even though I'm ER neg.  I've never understood why exactly unless it was that she was afraid that a recurrence might be ER pos.  I have heard of that happening, so maybe she was worried about feeding new cells we hadn't detected yet.  So I would extend your caution to all breast cancer survivors.  That was ten years ago, so there might be new research that suggests that ER neg people don't have the problem.

Phyllis, I didn't run across anything in my readings about soy affecting ER/PR- cancer, but as you say, who knows...? There's plenty that's still not understood about breast cancer, for sure. So best to be careful, as you say. PJH
