About Me

My journey began in September 1998 ... THE DRAGON (as I unlovingly call IT, came knocking at a point in my life where everything was finally right. After being misdiagnosed for over 3 years, we went for a second opinion and 4 days later, our world as we knew it was in a spin. The diagnosis: "BREAST CANCER" Stage 2 infiltrating ductal carcinoma, luckily they said that my nodes were not involved. After a successful partial mastectomy it was then on to 6 rounds of chemotherapy followed by 25 radiation treatments. But the DRAGON had a mind of its own; he used the blood stream to spread to my bones & liver a year later. In September 2004 & after many years of different anti-estrogen drugs, a CT scan showed multiple tumors in my lungs. This time I felt fear, cancer was spreading regardless of all our efforts to prevent a reoccurrence. My Oncologist then ordered weekly chemotherapy treatments for the second time, side effects are brutal but I keep fighting with everything I've got, I still have children to love & raise. I could not continue this battle without the love of my family and friends (online & off), thank you... I love you
