Sorry I don't normally make a lot of sharepost as I have my own personal blog chronicling my journey from 2005 to date.

I'll warn you now that my site does include strong language, but it is the journal of my life with cancer.

I am not sure what procedure you had during your 1st breast cancer or where the reoccuring breast cancer is. I will say as a second time survivor of breast cancer that it all sucks. What I love most is your garbage truck story. I had a lumpectomy & radiation in 2001. In 2003 my breast cancer reoccurred in the same breast & I opted for a double mastectomy & immediate reconstruction. To me the radiation was a breeze compared to chemo. I only had to have 6 treatments of chemo but it was rough. With the radiation it felt like a bad sunburn by the time they were through. Ask your oncologist what they recommend to put on the area to give you some comfort. I was delighted to have a port for the chemo but the one my breast surgeon put in was very small. I hate needles, pain etc. You are a pro so make sure you demand what you need to help make you as comfortable as possible when undergoing each procedure. The reconstructive surgeries do take a long time but try to keep your eye on the prize and never ever give up!

    hello angi,

you are a great inspiration to me and after all that you have been through i must sound like a wimp. but i am truly uneasy about the waiting game i have to have a mas on july 11 it was originally schedule for 6-d24 but because of a cough and cold it was cancelled i will have a skin sparing modified mas and will not know anything like stage or treatment until the final path report i am feeling sick but the drs do not think it is spreading to anyplace but they really do not know i had a mri and the right is clear

i will fight this illness and do not accept its interference in my life my kids still need me as does  yours the biopsy was done on the two largest masses and the grade was one and the overall score was 3 i am worried that the other masses might have a different

reading but i guess i have to wait i also want the drs to give me another mri just to make sure what they said is there is still there but they will not. thank you for taking time to answer all of our questions and concerns.

    please email me at labradofamily@comcast.net
