Angi, thanks for this detailed piece on reconstruction issues. While we all hope everything will go perfectly, unfortunately the reconstruction process isn't always smooth. This is a great resource for women about to go through this surgery. PJH

Great information.  You might want to consider adding information on lymphedema to possible side effects.....because it can and does happen.

Hi Angi, Pj, and to all of my online sisters who have been so willing to share their breast cancer Journey with me. I am at the end of this stage of my journey and moving on into the next stage of living after breast cancer. I know that I can do this because I have met so many wonderful people who are doing it very well. But I wanted to take this time to Thank All of you so much for helping to this point. I never thought I would be able to smile again, but during this journey I've changed and learned so much, I feel this whole cancer thing has made me a new and better person. Just wanted you all to know that up to this point all has gone very well, just had the tattoing done about 2 wks ago, now moving on to new and exciting things for the furture.

Oh, Stepaheda... what a pleasure to hear from you, and that you're at the end of treatment,  finally ready to move on with life after cancer. Blessings to you on your new path - and when you meet another woman with breast cancer, reach out your hand to her. A burden shared is a burden lightened, as you found here. Good luck - PJH
