Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 08:36 PMMaureen, don't feel like you're "just" having a lumpectomy and radiation. ALL of us, no matter the treatment or outcome, are sisters in survival. It's that "you have cancer" moment we all share that unites us. I'm very glad you're not having chemo. Tamoxifen's side effects don't seem too onerous. The main one is probably hot flashes, and maybe you've already "been there, done that"! Anyway, I have a FAQ on tamoxifen I hope to post soon, so stay tuned. And best of luck on your adventure - trust me, you'll remember it for the rest of your life! -PJH

Hi, Maureen. Good to hear from you again.
You couldn't feel more right about breast cancer treatment being "an adventure." That it is, and although breast cancer patients unite like no others, every woman's adventure is different. I can tell you're well on your way to mastering yours.
Good luck with radiation. Keep us posted on how you're doing.
Happy holidays...
Best,
Maria
