Greetings,

My husband's mother was just called in for another screening because there was a finding of increased density on her left breast. That side of the family has no history at all with cancer, she is 57 years old, very healthy and this is the first time something like this has happened. She is going in for another mamogram screening. I have heard this is quite common but we are all very worried nonetheless. Has anyone had this problem before? Any advice?

My advice is that it is too early to worry. It is not that uncommon to be callled back for another screening. The vast majorty of the time, it is not breast cancer. Good luck. and let us know how it turns out.

Beth,

Thank you so much for your quick reply - I passed this along to my husband! We'll keep you posted.
