Hello,

I was diagnoised with DCIS and LCIS in my right breast.  No one that I knew of had breast cancer in my family.  The DCIS showed two small spots, pre cancerous cells that the doctor said would turn into cancer in about 6 years but with me having the tumor in my chest walls, they went ahead and took my entire breast.  If it would of only been the DCIS, he would of remove only the tissue associated with the the spots to remove that tissue only.  This stuff is so complicated but this web page and the women here, gives great advice.  Just keep asking and they will help to guide you.

Mary
