When I was diagnosed with cancer, I learned that seeing unusual protein markers is a typical early warning sign. Yet there is no "baseline" set of markers taken and maintained in the medical records of Americans. It would seem that the cost of creating a PRIVATE DNA/enzyme/cancer marker database would more than pay off when a cancer is suspected through earlier and more correct diagnosis. Why isn't such a proactive approach taken?
