Hi - Luckily, the statistical chances of you having breast cancer at your age are exceedingly slim. Overall, most mammograms women receive don't show a problem; and when they do, about 85% of the resulting biopsies are benign (no problem). So the stats are on your side.

Fear is very stressful; and waiting for testing exacerbates it. Please read our post on fear; it may be the "life ring" you need to hold onto as you wait! As I said, chances are that your mammogram (or mammogram/biopsy) won't show a problem; but if they do, understand that millions of women survive breast cancer, and go on to lead happy, healthy lives. Good luck to you - PJH
