I found out less than a month ago that my best friend from high school has breast cancer. We have been friends for about 33 years. She had surgery on Wednesday November 14, and is waiting to hear from her doctor as to what kind of treatment she will be going through. We live far apart from each other, I live in Florida, and she lives in Nebraska, but I did just have a chance to visit with her. I had a trip planned before she found out she had breast cancer. My timing could not have been better. It was good to see her again, and to give her the hugs that she needs at a time like this.
