Hi Everybody,

I've talked with a lot of you but haven't written a journal entry in a bit!!

My second round of chemo went very well. The doctor changed a few of the nausea meds around and I didn't get anywhere near as sick. Hopefully they've keyed in on what works for me!! Kytril is the anti nausea drug that works for me...they have to give me samples of it because my insurance doesn't cover it. I think that is ridiculous...we find a drug that works for me but I can't get it...too expensive! Thank goodness for the "free" samples!

Now on to something more fun...any of you who have lost your hair...you've just got to get a pink wig! I have scarves, hats, different color wigs...it just depends on my mood (today is a fuzzy hat day)...but my favorite is the pink wig! It is actually empowering!! I was wearing it a couple of weeks ago and had to go on a construction site and "deal with" a few issues for a client of mine. Hilarious! I'm sure those construction workers I "talked with" weren't sure what to make of me!! They certainly did what I was asking in a big hurry!! Pink = Power!

There was a Breast Cancer Awareness Expo this past weekend...huge success...I couldn't believe how many people came. I met several survivors there. I haven't been to any support groups here...I'm not sure why...I've found so much support on this website that I guess I haven't felt the need. There's a meeting tonight...I may go if I feel okay...we'll see. I have the hardest time with the fatigue. I am usually a very energetic person and I am tired all the time...I hate that! It is a bit of an adjustment....

Oh well, I have 5 more rounds of chemo to go after today (1 more A/C then 4 rounds of Tamoxafin ) then I move on to the Herceptin for 52 wks.....when I talk about it like that it seems like forever but the time is actually flying by!! Life does seem to go faster the older I get...I want to "slow down" the good things...and make the bad things go "faster"!!

Have you heard that new Melissa Etheridge song "Message to Myself"?? How about "Was that My Life" by Jo Dee Messina? Both are worth checking out!!

As always - thanks for the support and take care!
