Hi Guys!!
How is everybody?!?!?
Talk about confusing!! Doxorubicin/Adriamycin/Anastrozole /Arimidex/Paclitaxel/Taxol/Tamaxofin/Trastuzumab/Herceptin /Warfarin/ProchlorperDexamethasonWarfarin/Cytoxin /Cyclophosphamide/etc/etc/etc/etc..... anybody else confused yet!!!
I really kind of concentrate on one step at a time and when I finished the AC part I felt like I crossed a major milestone....yippee!!! Now I'm on to the next step, I got confused with Taxol and Tamoxofin (yes PJ you were right!! I had my first round of Taxol and Herceptin a couple of weeks ago! Hilarious! They gave me benedryl the first time to make sure there wasn't any allergic reaction. Well, it was like being drunk!!! I basically passed out for a few hours. Had to have my husband come get me cause I couldn't drive!! It really was pretty funny.
I go in every week now. I have 10 more chemo sessions to go! Then I will continue with the Herceptin for 42 more weeks. For me the taxol is much easier to bear than the AC. So far, I haven't had near the nausea, aches and pains, etc. that I had before. I still get incredibly tired but I'm on the countdown now.....
Christmas was awesome....slept through New Year's...but me and mine are incredibly pumped about the New Year....for us this whole cancer thing has had many good points, too. We definitely feel more rejuvenated and focused.
There are so many things I could talk about here...many more "funny" cancer stories (pink wigs, "drunk" in chemo, etc.) but I don't want to write "War and Peace" here.
Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!!! I think of you all often and check shareposts pretty regularly!!
Take care,
Koponen

Hi Koponen,
Great to hear from you again. It sounds like you're making your way through all the different treatments quite well. And look - you're now a walking PDR! Wow, all the drugs. Just think of the knowledge you'll have when it's all said and done.
Wonderful that you talk of cancer's "good points." Ironically, it really can enrich life. Here are a couple great SharePosts of PJ's with the same thought in mind:
