Hi Guys,
Thought I'd spread the word on a new study I heard about from my sister. My sister, Kathy, is the best. She took the news of my cancer pretty hard but has totally been there for me. She did tons of research on her own so that she would understand what I was going through.

Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 12:57 PMMy sister is a fellow survivor. She had lumpectomy and radiation at age 34. So, she knows what we're going through (all but the bald part) and can sympathize as only another survivor sister can...
Don't know what I would do without her.

Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:01 AMHey Koponen,
Glad to hear from you again! :0) I checked out the sister study site. I'm happy that this place exists. More pieces to the puzzle is a good thing. Thanks so much for passing it on. That's how it will work. I have two little sister's one age 30 and one 26. They are both too young for this study. I did just get my results back from the genetic testing for the breast cancer genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 and it can back showing that I do not carry that gene(s). This is good news for my sisters and daughter but they still are at an increased risk merely because I have had BC.
Thinking of you! How's the taxol going? How many left?
Love ya, Laurie

...whether it's a study based on them or they're our very own to love and embrace (through breast cancer or not), like you I am blessed with sisterly love each and every day of my life. I have two!
Thanks for the Sister Study heads up, Koponen. I'll be sure to check it out.
Best,
Maria
