I am the founder of pinkbarrette.org, a non-profit organizaiton dedicated to providing free comfortable custom human hair wigs to women with cancer and alopecia. Having a natural replacement for real hair during treatments is likely to improve recovery time. A beautiful wig would almost eliminate negative thoughts of hair loss and help your stress levels decrease, which helps you recover as soon as possible. Therefore, if the insurance companies aren't going to pay for it, I have to continue my fight to make sure women are provided with hair replacement no matter how much they can afford.
