Keep looking ahead, Lynn-

Tuesday, March 04, 2008 at 09:40 PMFind that spot on the horizon you want to get to, and keep moving towards it every day. None of us knows what's going to happen next; we can't control the turns our lives take. But we can try to control our attitudes. If you can possibly stay positive in the face of this devastating news, I think it'll help you move forward and carry on the fight. In the meantime, stay connected here - you'll have SO many people reaching out their virtual hands to help you as you take on this crummy, lousy disease once again. and remember - there've been a lot of improvements in treatment in the padt five year. I pray that you're the beneficiary of all the research that's happened since the last time you had cancer. I'm sending you good karma- PJH -
Try to hang in there, Lynn

Friday, March 07, 2008 at 04:21 PMI've just finished my radiation and am taking Tamoxifen. I'm very frighted at what might be in my cards. Unfortunately, during chemo I found out my destroyed immune system could no longer prevent HPV from leaving me with pre-cancerous cervical cells. I'm having the cervial shaving procedure tomorrow. Like I said, I'm frightened at what might be in my cards. I'm setting my mind on having a fabulous summer though. Last summer was diagnosis, surgery and mental anguish. This summer is going to be scuba lessons, camping with friends and Chicago's summer festivals.
It's a very difficult road that cancer survivors have to hoe. I'm thinking of you, I'm sending out good vibes for you.

Monday, May 12, 2008 at 11:25 PMhi, I heard some Drs. talking about breast cancer always coming back.THEY USED TO TAKE OFF BOTH BREASTS WHEN WOMEN HAD BREAST CANCER.But now they don't because if the other breast is gone the cancer will go somewhere else, maybe organs. In the other breast they can still contain it and remove it for good before it spreads anywhere else.I,ve had a right breast macectomy also, and within one year a reacurance of breast cancer on the same breast chest wall. It's been 3 1/2 years since I had my macectomy, and 1 1/2 years since my second breast cancer. I.ve also had malenoma under my eye 2 times. My masectomy happened when I was49. Elaine -GOOD LUCK & GOD BE WITH YOU
