As you say, Phyllis, this is a tricky balancing act. Corporations have to make profits to reinvest in further research to develop new drugs. However, it's a shame that the profits sometimes go into the deep pockets of upper management, rather than into keeping the cost of certain drugs within reach for those who need them; indeed, who depend on them to save their lives... We don't live in a socialist society, and thus have to depend on capitalism to work. And usually it does; hopefully the "nudge" from President Obama will get things heading in the right direction again. Thanks for this informative post - PJH
