Maybe you're the one the office staff turns to for a tribute poem at the retirement banquet. Maybe you write whole plays in rhyme for the children's program at church. Maybe you haven't thought about poetry since the dreaded 8th grade poetry project.
Whatever your past experience...

Your Poem

Your poem is eloquent and really moved me. I have had breast cancer at a relatively young age and endured a double mastectomy, so I can really relate. I truly believe in advocacy and being proactive.
Thank you for an excellent poem and encouraging writing as a way of coping with such a difficult experience as breast cancer,

I'm glad you could relate to the poem. One of the ironies of cancer is that our very individual experiences are so universal.
Thanks for the link to your blog. Clearly you are using your writing skills to process your own experience and help others.
