how interesting--have been taking it for years for bones and breasts.  so far so good.  it would be nice, however, that when something as postive as this comes along, rather than the long winded negatives, just give us a little bit of hope.  it's a scary world out there, and all we have are nay sayers who are afraid of being sued if we do what's necessary to stay ahead of the curve.  nothing is perfect, and we all know that--so stop telling us bad--just give us some good.  for all the money we spend on reseach we deserve it!!

Thanks so much for your response! Of course you're right, it's always best to focus on the good news. But with any medication we have to be aware of the risks too to make the best decision possible.

I begged my oncologist to switch me to Evista because I didn't like how I felt on Tamoxifen AND I have significant osteoporosis. The Evista has slightly helped my osteoporosis. But she is bugging me to go back on Tamoxifen because she says Evista prevents breast cancer in women who have never had it, but it doesn't prevent a recurrence.
