Anyone for blancmange?

On Tuesday this week I received a visit from a very nice woman called Judy who runs a business here in Melbourne fitting women for bras and prostheses after mastectomy. Being told you need a mastectomy is shocking, because all you can think is, “They’re going to cut off my breast!” Yes, it sounds brutal; but if you’re worried about your physical appearance, you can choose to have reconstructive... Read moreChevron

Must-haves and Good-idea-to-do's

I think for many of us one of the more difficult aspects of having breast cancer is handing over so much responsibility to our doctors. We come from a culture that teaches and encourages us to live life actively rather than passively. This is much more true for women today than it was in the past. We don't let men make all the decisions any more... Read moreChevron
