Women often want to know what factors contribute to developing breast cancer so they can avoid them or understand why they have breast cancer. However, while certain factors like breast density or Hormone Replacement Therapy are thought to potentially lead to breast cancer, there are plenty of people with these risk factors who do not have cancer, or people who do not have these risk factors that do develop breast cancer.
