Fatigue is the most common side effect of breast cancer treatment and includes: incessant sleeping, inability to feel rested upon waking up, lack of interest in social and outside activities. Fatigue from breast cancer treatment is exacerbated by other breast cancer treatment side effects such as weight gain, depression and stress. Good ways to begin addressing fatigue are incorporating regular walking, increasing protein intake and nutritional diet as well as partaking in complementary and holistic medicine (acupuncture, massages, meditation, yoga).
