Q: biopsy of paget's disease of the nipple and operating time

A surgical biopsy was done on the breast and found Paget's disease in the nipple and milk ducts. Is it necessary to operate and remove the infected area within one week from biopsy to avoid disease spread in the whole breast

Not within one week, no; breast cancer doesn't spread very quickly.

Please read our Paget's FAQS for more information. Unfortunately, about 97% of women with Paget's also have another kind of breast cancer. So you'll have your nipple and areola removed surgically, I'd assume; and further diagnostic testing done, to find out where the remaining cancer is. Then (unless you're in the lucky 3% that doesn't have another cancer), you'll be treated for that other cancer: IDC, DCIS, whatever it is, you'll no doubt undergo the standard treatment. Good luck - PJH
