The vast majority of breast cancer patients don't have a family history of breast cancer, so don't let your good family keep you from seeing a doctor about changes in your breast.  Lumps can be cysts, infections, bruises, benign tumors, cancer, or other problems.  If this lump has lasted longer than a menstrual period, call your doctor and have it checked out.  The pink color suggests that there might be an infection, so call the doctor immediately if you are running a fever.  If it just started, you could probably watch it a few days to see if it gets better on its own.
