just got a call to come back in from doing my mamoggram last week. My left breast was showing something. Is that a sign of cancer?

Linda, many, many, MANY women get callbacks for mammograms. It doesn't mean you have breast cancer; it just means they see something, and they need to identify what they're seeing. It could be a cyst, could be a fibroadenoma or other fibroid tissue, could be an old scar, could be a benign tumor... and yes, it could be breast cancer. But the vast majority of mammogram callbacks turn out to be something other than breast cancer. Even when they get to the stage of being biopsied, 85% are benign. So stay positive, and take one step at a time, OK? good luck - PJH
