The lump could be one of the lymph nodes that is in your arm pit, and it could be swollen for a number of reasons....infection, cold, etc. To be honest your best bet is to have it checked out by your doctor, especially if the lump lasts longer than 2 weeks or if it doesn't go in sync with your monthly cycle. Only the use of a diagnostic tool can say for certain what this lump may be - and even still 4 out of 5 lumps are non-cancerous. So get it checked out if it doesn't go away, or if it gets bigger or changes shape.
