It would probably a good idea to be concerned enough to call the doctor for an appointment, especially if you have had your period in the last three weeks. Breast pain and tenderness are not unusual before a menstrual period, so if yours hasn't started yet, you might wait and see if it goes away after your period starts. Call the doctor right away if you develop a fever, swelling, or redness.
The word "burning" is often associated with nerve pain, so there may be something pressing on a nerve. Don't worry because breast cancer does not usually start with pain. Do be proactive to find out what is causing your symptoms.
