depending on how bad the cancer was or what the pathology was, you should expect to do either radiation or chemnotherapy or both and most likely something like Tamoxifen or Femara after treatment.

Carole, you'll see your oncologist and surgeon on a staggered 3-month or 6-month schedule, I suspect - so you'll be seeing both of them regularly. If they haven't suggested physical therapy, ask for it - you need to make sure you don't have any shoulder or other issues from the surgery. And finally, if you have chemo, you'll be doing that.
