Q: I am a 33-year-old having a red rash on the upper part of my left breast and sometimes it is itchy

I am having this rash from past one and a half month, it is of a quater cent size, there is no change in size, the detergents and lotions, which I am using are that I brought from my motherland (INDIA).  I am really worried.  It actually started one week before my menses last month and it is not going, I was using an oral contraceptive pill Novelon  which my doctor gave me as i was having irregular menses and this irregular menses was rarely irregular, once in a year I used to have this irregularity....please anyone help me...and the person who replied to me made me feel comfortable and thanks

Suj, I'm glad Phyllis' advice made you feel better; not sure what anyone ese can say to help you. If the spot enlarges, or you notice any other change (more itching, swelling), then you must see a doctor to rule out inflammatory breast cancer - very rare, but possible. Good luck to you- PJH
