Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

Sunday, December 19, 2010 madcat asks

Q: How long after I stop CMF chemo can I have a drink? My last chemo was 12/1/10 and I would like to be able to have a cocktail at Christmas - is that ok?

Don't see why not - the drugs may take a couple of months to totally leave your system, but they've done their active work for now. If your oncologist told you not to drink during chemo, then check this out with him/her, but I'm betting the answer is yes, enjoy that cocktail ... Happy holidays! PJH
