Hi - Benign tumors don't increase your breast cancer risk. And pain/tenderness usually isn't a sign of breast cancer. Nevertheless, any breast change needs to be seen by a doctor. You might have a cyst, a fibroid, or another tumor. So best to make an appointment and find out what's up, OK? Good luck - PJH
