Q: Burning sensation in my right breast

I have a burning sensation in my right breast for 5days after my period. I had a needle biopsy 2months ago and result -fibrodenoma. I am 29 years old, no history of breast cancer in the family. I do self checkups every month. Should I see a doctor for this burning sensation or it is normal side effects after biopsy?Anything I can take beside painkillers? I already take evening primrose supplements. Thanks!

Hi - Could indeed be some nerve damage as a result of the biopsy. A burning sensation isn't a typical symptom of breast cancer; but perhaps it might be good to see a doctor, to assess what it is and to see if you can get some relief. Good luck - PJH

Hi - This isn't a typical breast cancer symptom. However, it sounds like it's bothering you, so why not go ahead and get checked out by your doctor? There's no sense being uncomfortable if something can be done to help. Good luck - PJH
