Q: White pus like, filled lump protruding form the nipple

I have just noticed what looks like a large pimple on the nipple of my breast. If you try to squeeze it nothing comes out -It is not painful.  Is this common?  Could you supply me with a name of what you think this may be. Any pointers as to  contact sites, information sites etc... many thanks. Yvonne Harrow

Hi Yvonne - There's no telling for sure what this could be, at this point, though there are a number of possibilities—everything from a simple skin issue, to an infection, to the beginnings of a rare type of breast cancer (though that's the least likely possibility). Keep your eye on it. If it's still there in a couple of weeks; or if your breast seems to be getting infected (hot, red, swelled, painful, itchy), then best to see a doctor about it, OK? Good luck - PJH
