Q: Femara and Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I have a new oncologist who has new ideas. I have tried Femara before and Aromasin, both left me with very bad joint pain. My Onc. has suggested that I have two tablespoons of 'Extra Virgin Olive Oil ' on toast for breakfast each morning. I am also to take Omega 3 capsules. My Onc. said that Olive Oil contains Oleic Acid which is very good for  inflamation of the bones. Has anyone else been advised to try this if so has it worked? I have just started this morning and have to say it is not that bad. I would still prefer marmalade..but if it works I will make that sacrifice. Onc. also says that Olive helps in lowering the risk of some Breast cancers ?...but it must be 'Extra Olive Oil'

I've never heard of extra-virgin olive oil being a breast cancer preventive... but I'm not a doctor. I know it's a very good fat, as far as fats go. I'd say do what s/he says, and if it works - hey, great! Hope it does - it would be nice for you to get some relief from this pain. Here's hoping - PJH
