Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

Q: Lump under the armpit with burning + lump above collar bone+ tongue & feet swelling

I am a two time cancer survior. My last surgery for Breast reconstruction was 9 months ago. Three months ago I began to experience the following: A lump under my armpit on the side where the cancerous breast was removed, accompanied with pain, burning and swelling. An obvious lump above my collar bone. Tongue swelling at night when sleeping, and occassional feet swelling. I find that I become fatigued much too easily, and am sleeping long hours. What could be causing such symptoms?

Hi Sharee: We're not doctors here; just women who've survived breast cancer. No clue what your tongue and other swellings are from; but anytime you have a lump in your breast, you need to get it seen and diagnosed, to rule out cancer. If it's uncomfortable, best to get it looked at ASAP. If you can wait a couple of weeks and see if it goes away, that's an option, too. Good luck - PJH
