Usually when they want you to wait a few months for a mammogram or MRI it's because they want to compare your two films - present, and future - and see if the spot has changed/grown. It sounds like you don't quite trust your doctors to do the right thing. If that's the case, then probably you should ask for a long enough appointment that you can get all your questions answered (and be sure to write them down ahead of time, so you don't forget them), and put your doubts to rest; or you should ask for a second opinion. It's awfully difficult to try to micromanage your treatment plan, as a patient; there's a degre of trust you simply have to have, and if you don't have it - well, then you need to take action to develop that trust, or find a new medical team you DO trust.
