Holden, this is a question for your own doctor. The distinctions about the differences between A, B, or C within a stage can get complicated. As far as I know the basic treatment plan will be the similar whether the cancer is Stage IIIA, IIIB, or IIIC. Usually chemo is given first, followed by surgery and radiation. Of course, there are variations depending on the specifics for each patient. I'm a Stage IIIB inflammatory breast cancer patient who had 16 positive lymph nodes, so I understand how scary this diagnosis can be. Write a list of questions for your doctor and take someone with you to your appointment to ask follow-up questions that you don't think about. It's been 13 years since my diagnosis, and I'm doing fine now, so have hope that you can get well.
