Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

Q: Small white bump on nipple

My right nipple has a small white bump (sort of looks like a pimple, but it's not) and it is very painful to the touch. Does this need to be checked by a doctor?  I have had it for about a month or two. It hurts when my clothes touch it, or I wash, etc. Is this an early sign of breast cancer.  I did have malignant melanoma on my right leg almost 2 years ago, but they got all the cancer.

This is not a typical breast cancer symptom, but any breast change that lasts longer than a month needs to be checked out by a doctor.  There is no need to be in pain.  See the doctor and find out what this is.
