Q: How long can you take drugs after treatment?

Depends what the drug is, and why you're taking it. Many women take a year of Herceptin, or 5 years of tamoxifen. Some women are scheduled to be on an aromatase inhibitor, e.g., Arimidex et. al., for up to 10 years. Women with metastatic cancer can be on drugs indefinitely. Hope this answers your question - PJH
