which comes first chemo or radiation?

Hi Debbie: Not every woman has both chemo and radiation. But if you do, radiation comes after chemo. The sequence is usually surgery, chemo, and radiation (if you need it). Sometimes it goes chemo (to shrink the tumor before surgery), then surgery, then radiation (if you need it). Radiation usually follows eithr surgery or chemo by 3 to 4 weeks. Hope this helps - PJH
