Jay, words like tingling and pins and needles are words often associated with nerve pain.  Could you have some pressure on a nerve?  Although you say the sensation is not painful, it must be very annoying.  Generally, we recommend that people see their doctor if their symptoms last a month, but if this is interfering with your ability to concentrate during the day, you might want to check with a doctor sooner.

Thank you for speedy response. Is it possible that I can have caused this sensation from exercise e.g. doing press ups as a part of a gym class? I will make an appointment to see the Doctor tomorrow.

Yes, this could definitely be related to exercise.  Muscle fatigue can cause tremors, and swelling related to an exercise-related injury could put pressure on a nerve.  You might want to ask the class teacher whether ice or heat would be appropriate to relieve these sensations.
