Hi Red - Zometa is a drug given to breast cancer patients when the cancer has spread to the bones. Here's a good Web site that explains how it works, side effects, and other useful information. It's a very common drug, with a good track record of keeping bones as healthy as possible, given the cancer. Hope this helps - PJH
