Hi - In general, a pain in the breast is much more likely to be from a cyst, fibrocystic change, or hormonal issues rather than breast cancer. Please read our post on breast pain for information on whether/when to see a doctor about this. If the pain evolves into something more - e.g., your breast seems infected (red, hot, swollen, itchy), then best to see a doctor right away, OK? Good luck - PJH

I also have pain in my left breast that started about 18 months ago. I've had to start wearing the aha bra at night to give support for the discomfort. My mammograms for the past 2 years have been negative. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this? READ MORE
