Q: a shart pain in the left breast when I remove my bra

I've recently experienced a shart pain in the left breast when I remove my bra. I have to hold the breast until it subsides. What could this be?

Hi - In general, a pain in the breast is much more likely to be from a cyst, fibrocystic change, or hormonal issues rather than breast cancer. Please read our post on breast pain for information on whether/when to see a doctor about this. If the pain evolves into something more - e.g., your breast seems infected (red, hot, swollen, itchy), then best to see a doctor right away, OK? Good luck - PJH
