I also have pain in my left breast that started about 18 months ago. I've had to start wearing the aha bra at night to give support for the discomfort. My mammograms for the past 2 years have been negative. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this? READ MORE

Debbie, have you checked with your doctor about this being a possible cardiac issue, since it's on your left side? It could be a heart problem masquerading as breast pain... Beyond that, you might have a cyst that's pressing on a nerve. Have you had an ultrasound to rule this out? Sometimes women with chronic breast pain report relief when they cut caffeine out of their diet. You might try that, as well. Good luck - I hope you get some relief soon! PJH READ MORE

Debbie, have you checked into the possibility of a cardiac issue? Since it's on the left side, this may indeed be something related to your heart, masquerading as breast pain. It's also possible you have a cyst that's grown large enough to press on a nerve; a mammogram might not identify this, though an ultrasound would. Beyond that, if your doctor seems unable to help, I'd suggest you see a breast specialist, and/or try a pain clinic. Either of those might be a good option. Take care - I hope you get some relief soon. PJH READ MORE
