Michele, pain is not a typical breast cancer symptom, but you might need to see a doctor to figure out what is causing your pain. Call the doctor right away if the pain is severe or if it has been getting steadily worse. If the pain just started, you could wait a bit to see if there is a pattern to when you get the pain. Making a note of the frequency and circumstances of the pain could be valuable information to help the doctor. If you have had this problem for a month or more, I'd suggest calling the doctor tomorrow. If you develop a fever, swelling or redness, call the doctor right away. Reply
