Nanette - I would call your ins. co. - their number should be on your card and tell them that you have temorary expanders placed and the hospital is refusing to replace them with permanent implants.  Ask which plastic surgeon is on your plan as this matter should be taken care of someone in that profession then make an appt. with one.  The plastic surgeon would be the one who would ultimately get approval from your ins. co. and set up a surgery with the hospital to do the procedure.  It is NOT the hospital's decision.  So try that route and hopefully you'll get taken care of.  Also you should have other options that just this one facility - a swap out can be done at a day surgery center.  So good luck!
