The area around the nipple normally has little bumps called Montgomery's glands.  There are also openings to oil glands.  Both of these can get clogged and/or infected causing discharge.  The big question for you to consider as you decide whether you need to see a doctor is whether these bumps are an unexplained change from your normal.  If you have changed skin care products or bra types, the bumps might be related to irritation from the change.  Check with a doctor if this is a change that has lasted longer than a month.  Call sooner if the bumps get worse or appear infected.

um I have these brown bumps on my left nipple. They are so sore that you can't even touch it. Idk if I should tell my mom or not. I'm scared it could be some kind of sign of pregnancy which I hope it's not! It kinda looks like it has a white discharge from my nipple. it looks really out of the ordinary

Nipple changes that are a sign of pregnancy usually happen on both sides.  This is more likely to be some sort of infection or skin problem.  Yes, you do need to tell your mom because she can evaluate whether you need to see a doctor right away or whether there is a home remedy you could try first.  I hope you soon feel better.

Hi - Please read our post on nipple issues, and our post on nipple discharge; they'll help you assess when/if to see a doctor about this. Since it's affecting both breasts, it's unlikely it would be anything to do with cancer; but if the condition you describes lasts longer than a month (or certainly if it worsens quickly), it's best to see a doctor, OK? Good luck - PJH
