Hi Claire - In general, pain isn't a breast cancer symptom. Does the pain come and go with your period? If it does, it could be a hormonal issue. Even though it doesn't sound like breast cancer, it's always a good idea to get breast changes checked out. Plus, why be in pain if the doctor might be able to help you figure out what's going on? Best of luck - PJH

the line is probably a stretch mark. if you are close to your period your breasts are swollen and the skin stretchs and it sometimes hurts. but if it keeps up maybe see a doc. to make sure your hormones are balanced

Good call, Carly.  Changes in breast size from weight gain or hormonal changes can cause stretch marks.  Because dimpled skin can also be an early sign of inflammatory breast cancer, it is important to let the doctor check it out.  But probably most of the time these kinds of lines are stretch marks.
